Fred Soo grew up in Westchester County, NY. He received his BA/MA in Biology from Harvard University in 1996 and his Ph.D. in Biophysics from Stanford University in 2002. After at stint as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Washington, he has relocated to the East Coast. He is currently at Princeton University, where he studies visual processing in the retina. He specializes in wedding photography and portraiture.
